Program Basics
We’re keeping this initial cohort small and focused on dedicated markets of San Antonio and Houston so that onboarding is smooth, support stays responsive, and we can improve quickly based on driver feedback.
This is an invite-only driver cohort in Houston and San Antonio, TX. A limited number of people can invite drivers using a unique link/code so we can keep quality high and support responsive. While we plan to thoughtfully expand this program to additional markets, this initial cohort will serve as independent contractors with early access and priority.
By designing this as an invite-only network of drivers in select markets, we are building a curated professional network rather than an open marketplace.
Routes are thoughtfully assigned using algorithm-based dispatch to maximize driver time within their available schedule, reduce inefficiencies, and support consistent earning opportunities. By prioritizing quality, intentional growth, and efficient routing, we create a more professional experience for drivers—especially those joining as part of our San Antonio and Houston cohort.
Yes, drivers must complete trainings as required by federal and state law, including Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention training. Further information will be provided during the driver registration and selection process.
Trips are primarily for individual passengers, but an additional companion, child, or caretaker may accompany them, as permitted by law.
SafeRide Logistics maintains automobile insurance on your behalf while logged into the app or performing rides, in accordance with applicable law and subject to policy limitations. Your personal automobile insurance policy may not provide coverage while you are logged into the SafeRide Logistics Platform or performing a ride.
In Texas, the following SafeRide Logistics coverage applies:
- When you’re offline:
- $50,000/person for bodily injury or death
- $100,000/accident for bodily injury or death
- $25,000/accident for property damage
- When you’re logged into the SafeRide Logistics app and en route to pick up a passenger or performing a ride:
- $1,000,000/accident for bodily injury, death, and property damage
This coverage does not replace legally required personal automobile insurance.
Eligibility
You’ll be asked to confirm a few baseline items. For example, if you are able to drive regularly in Texas, have a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and your vehicle is 10 years old or newer. We’ll also confirm your preferred driving windows during the day, eligibility to participate in government-funded healthcare programs, and ability to pass standard screening items (for example, a motor vehicle record check and criminal background check ).
No, however, we do ask that drivers maintain their ride schedule they initially provided in registration to maintain an active status in the network. If schedules change, we are able to work with drivers and ask them to as soon as possible with us.
For Inviters (people who register to invite drivers)
Once you complete the “Invite Drivers” registration form, you’ll see your unique invite link directly on the webpage and receive an email confirmation with access to it. Share it directly with drivers you trust via SMS, email, WhatsApp, or by having them scan your QR code (all available directly underneath or next to where you see your unique invite link).
Rewards are paid after the milestone is verified. Upon verification, payouts will be completed on a weekly basis. Additional timing and method details will be shared in the rewards terms and confirmation messages.
Complete the “Invite Drivers” registration form. Once complete, you’ll see your unique invite link directly on the webpage and receive an email confirmation with access to it.
Your available invite capacity will be included in your confirmation.
Inviter incentives are earned when your referred driver(s) reach these milestones:
- Driver completes first day of driving: $25
- 3 invited drivers complete their first day of driving:$75**
- Driver completes first 5 days of driving: $50
- Driver completes first 30 days of driving: $500

**This reward may be paid out a maximum of one time per Inviter, even if more than 3 invited drivers complete their first day of driving.
For Referred Drivers (receiving an invite)
Open the link, enter the invite code (if prompted), and complete the registration forms to be considered.
No, there are no fees associated with registration or onboarding.
You’ll receive a confirmation message with next steps. If eligible, we’ll guide you through the credentialing and onboarding process.
No. Invites help us track interest and manage cohort capacity, but all drivers must meet standard requirements and complete credentialing steps.
Independent Contractor Driver Onboarding, Communications, and Pay
We use SMS text-first notifications for confirmations and day-of updates, with email as backup.
Payout is within 1-2 business day once you’re fully onboarded and set up for payments.
During onboarding,you’ll receive an invitation to create a payment account from PayQuicker, our digital payment provider. Accept and follow the provided instructions to create your account and start to receive payments. When setting up, our company name and information will be pre-filled and locked to avoid errors.
Payment Rate: $1.80/Loaded Mile.
Payment Rate: Drivers will receive $1.80 per Loaded Mile.*
* “Loaded Mile” means a mile driven with an Assigned Passenger in the vehicle. “Assigned Passenger” means an individual designated by SafeRide to be transported for a specific ride request.
Distances driven to pick up an Assigned Passenger, and/or any period without an Assigned Passengerin the vehicle, do not count towards Loaded Miles. This payment rate should not be construed as a guaranteed minimum payment amount.
In addition to the estimated payment rate, drivers can earn additional rewards when they reach the following milestones:
- Driver completes first day of driving: $25
- Driver completes first 5 days of driving: $50
- Driver completes first 15 days of driving: $150
- Driver completes first 30 days of driving: $500
