SafeRide Health Stands with Communities Impacted by Texas Flooding

Our hearts are with the Texas communities facing the devastating effects of severe flooding. In partnership with our health plan clients, we’re expanding transportation options to meet evolving needs. Learn more about how to access these services.

Our hearts are with the families and communities across the Texas Hill Country who continue to face the devastating effects of severe flooding. With ongoing search and rescue efforts and new areas still under threat, we are mindful that this crisis is still unfolding — and support remains critically needed.

SafeRide Health is proudly headquartered in Texas, and we are deeply connected to the people and communities in this area. Our role is to help ensure that vulnerable individuals, including children, older adults, and people with complex health needs, can safely access care, resources, and shelter during times of crisis.

In close partnership with our transportation provider partners, health plan partners, and community organizations, we have taken and continue to take coordinated steps to respond to this emergency with compassion and urgency.

How to Access SafeRide Support:

  • Our team members stationed in the region are offering in-person assistance to local partners and drivers.
  • We are helping to coordinate alternative transportation for members of our health plan partners affected by flooding and healthcare facility closures.
  • For members in impacted areas who need access to care, shelter, or essential services, we are providing no-cost specialty transportation — including support for different mobility levels and equipment needs.
  • We are collecting and donating supplies to The Salvation Army and contributing volunteer support to relief efforts.

If you or someone you support has been affected and needs transportation assistance, please contact us at (855) 955-7433.

In partnership with our health plan clients, we’re expanding transportation options to meet evolving needs. This includes increasing ride types, extending service areas, and removing cost or process barriers for members affected by the storm — all to help ensure care remains within reach during recovery. We’re also monitoring road conditions and providing local updates to prioritize ride safety and service continuity.

We are grateful for the first responders, community leaders, and neighbors working tirelessly to help one another through this moment. We’re here alongside them to listen, to support, and to do what we can for the communities where we live and work.
