SafeRide SMS Texting Terms and Conditions

These SMS Texting Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to individuals who have subscribed and provided prior express consent to receive text messages from the SafeRide Program. Individuals who have subscribed to receiving text messages from SafeRide agree and understand that SafeRide may continue to send text messages until their prior express consent is revoked in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Message frequency varies. SafeRide may send you messages to provide information on matters including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Transportation benefits that are available to you through your health plan; and
  • Ride and appointment confirmations, reminders, or cancellations.

By agreeing to receive text messages from SafeRide, you agree that the phone number you have provided is yours and that you have permission to use that phone number.

SafeRide may send text messages to your phone number using an automatic dialing system. Message frequency varies. As always, message and data rates may apply. Text messaging may not be available for all carriers. If you have any questions about your text or data plan, it is recommended that you contact your wireless provider for more information.

You can stop receiving text messages from SafeRide at any time. This is also known as opting-out. Individuals who have subscribed to receiving text messages may opt-out by texting “STOP”, “STOPALL”, “UNSUBSCRIBE”, “CANCEL”, “END” or “QUIT” to [short code goes here] in order to stop receiving text messages from SafeRide.

After you have unsubscribed from receiving text messages from SafeRide, we may send you a message to make sure that you no longer want to receive text messages from us. After this message, you will no longer receive text messages from SafeRide. To re-subscribe and begin receiving text messages from SafeRide again, simply text “START” or “UNSTOP” to [short code goes here].

SafeRide cannot guarantee the successful delivery of text messages by your wireless provider. Messages sent by text may not be delivered if the mobile device is not in range of a transmission site, or if the network is down. Factors beyond the power of wireless carriers, such as terrain, how close you are to buildings, foliage, weather, and your equipment, may prevent or disrupt message delivery. SafeRide and your wireless provider are not liable for losses or damages that come from:

  • a message that is not delivered or that is delivered late; or
  • a message that is delivered to the wrong number; or
  • a message that contains inaccurate or incomplete content.

SafeRide is further not liable for an individual’s use or reliance on the content of any text message.

SafeRide can deliver messages to the following mobile phone carriers: Major carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, and Virgin Mobile. ***Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages***

These Terms of Use are governed by Texas law, without reference to its rules regarding choice of law.

Privacy

It is your responsibility to provide SafeRide with a correct phone number and to update us of any changes to your number. If you do not provide SafeRide with your updated phone number, we are not responsible for any text message that may be delivered to an incorrect number.

Using a password-protected mobile device is always recommended. Text messages sent by SafeRide are not encrypted and may include protected health information (PHI). As such, it is possible that this PHI could be intercepted or viewed by third parties. When you choose to receive text messages from SafeRide, you are doing so at your own risk. Terms and Conditions

SafeRide may change these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior written notice. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be posted to our website at https://saferidehealth.com/uhc-terms-of-service. You understand and agree that you are responsible for reviewing those Terms and Conditions often to ensure that you are aware of any possible changes. If you disagree or are unsatisfied with these Terms and Conditions, your sole and exclusive remedy is to opt-out as described above.
